This will be my first experience "blogging". It should be a valuable tool for the network and I was delighted to receive this morning's invitation to join. I will be grateful for any advice in blog protocols and etiquette.
I may be stealing Bertha's thunder here, but thought everyone should know that the committee to provide feedback to HCDA on the SOE (Standards of Excellence) tool met Wednesday morning via conference call. I thought it went well. Cecelia was not able to be there but sent Erica to collect comments. We learned that the instrument is to be self administered and turned in as part of our grantee package. Erica seemed quite open to making changes on the parts that were most offensive. Good to have this new tool. I hope we all use it a lot.
By the way, I'm new to blogging also, but I think that it is important for us to go through the steps of verifying our email. Doesn't that push the blog comments on to our email eliminating our need to remember to come visit the blog site?

Kevin has agreed to post an opening statement but it appeaars that we are here ahead of him. Thanks to Lora Olive for getting the blog up and running.
We will need to discuss te bolg and ways that it will work when the board meets again.
